The Glass Slipper would like to share with you a few of our favorite recipes! These recipes were featured on Fox 28 Good Day Columbus on Wednesday, December 1st when Stacey Haney (Chief Princess Officer) was a guest on the program to discuss how to have an impressive tea party! Enjoy!
White Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2/3 cup water
- 1-1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 2 cups canned pumpkin
- 3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1-1/2 cups white chocolate chips
- 2 tsp baking soda
Preparation:
- Grease two bread pans.
- Preheat oven 350 degrees F.
- In large bowl, beat the eggs.
- Mix in sugar, vegetable oil, water, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Add the pumpkin, flour, and chocolate chips, Mix well.
- Last, mix in the baking soda.
- Scrape batter into two greased bread pans.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 60 minutes. Insert knife into bread to test for doneness.

Simple Scones
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of raisins/currants
Directions:
In a small bowl, blend the sour cream and baking soda, and set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a large baking sheet. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, cream of tarter, and salt. Cut in the butter. Stir in the sour cream mixtures and egg into the flour into the flour mixture until just moistened. Mix in raisins. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead briefly. Pat dough into a 3/4 inch thick round. Cut into 12 wedges, and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown on the bottom.

Devonshire Cream
Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup mascarpone or 1/4 cup softened cream cheese
- 1 heaping Tbls sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and beat with a mixer until stiff. Refrigerate until ready to use. Best when prepared and served the same day. Makes 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups.
